EXPLANATION OF STICK INSECT LIFECYCLE
The stick insect, which is a herbivore, is an insect that looks like a stick. So it camouflages with its environment, the stick insect (Phasmati) looks like a giant leaf. It spends most of its time eating big, green, juicy leaves while protecting itself from ferocious predators such as birds.
Firstly, the adult male and female stick insect mate so that the female’s eggs are fertilized. After the female produces its eggs, she randomly flicks her eggs to the soil below. Next, ants eventually find the eggs, which are coated in a sweet sugar, and take them to their colony underground because they mistake it for food. Once the ants take the egg underground, they eat the sugar coating off the egg and then leave it untouched for up to 3 years.
